Meet Sage
Sage is your in-app assistant — ask how a mortgage concept works or where to find something in LendrTech, right from any page.
Sage is a built-in assistant that lives in every LendrTech screen. Tap the help bubble in the bottom-right corner and ask it how a mortgage concept works, or where something lives in the app — it answers in plain language, in the context of whatever page you're on.
Sage is there for you, the loan officer. Your borrowers never see it.
Where to find Sage
Look for the round help bubble anchored to the bottom-right corner of every page once you're signed in — your dashboard, a client's page, the worksheet form, the report builder, settings, everywhere. Click it to open the Sage panel, type a question in the box that reads Ask about a screen, a term, or a workflow…, and press send. Not sure where to start? Sage offers a few opening questions like How do I build my first worksheet? or What's the difference between APR and note rate?
What Sage is good at
Two things, really:
- Finding your way around. Ask "where do I add a client?" or "how do I import a fee sheet?" and Sage points you to the exact buttons to click and the path to follow — a quick way to get unstuck without leaving the page. It's the same ground the getting-started guide covers, on demand.
- Explaining the concepts. Ask what APR includes, how mortgage insurance is structured, what discount points do, or how a buydown works, and Sage explains it like a seasoned LO walking a newer one through it. When an example helps, it uses made-up round numbers inside an Example — not your file note, so an illustration is never mistaken for your borrower's real figures.
What Sage won't do
By design, Sage stays away from your real numbers. It won't calculate, estimate, verify, or second-guess a payment, APR, rate, fee, or cash-to-close for your file, and it won't tell you what to quote or charge. For your own figures, the closing cost worksheet and the report builder are the source of truth — Sage points you there rather than guessing.
It also won't stand in for compliance guidance — disclosure timing, day counts, waiting periods, and the like. For those it'll tell you to check your own compliance source rather than hand you a number that could be wrong for your situation.
And if you ask about something Sage hasn't been taught yet, it'll say so and suggest emailing team@lendrtech.com instead of inventing an answer.
Your chats
Sage keeps the conversation going as you move around the app, so a thread follows you from screen to screen. In the panel's top-right corner, the + icon starts a new chat and the history icon (its tooltip reads Past chats) reopens an earlier one. Close Sage with the × in that same corner.
Who can use Sage
Everyone with a LendrTech login, including during a trial. There's nothing to switch on and no plan requirement — the help bubble is simply there when you need it.
