Composing the email
Edit the subject, greeting, message, and signature before a report goes out — preview the exact email, and save your go-to messages as reusable templates.
When you email a report from LendrTech, the send window is a full email composer: you write and preview the exact message your borrower receives, and you can save the ones you reuse. It builds on the basics in sharing reports with borrowers.
Compose on the left, preview on the right
Click Send in the report builder top bar (it appears once the client has an email address on file — add one on their client page if it's missing). The window opens with your message on the left and a live Preview on the right that updates as you type, so what you see is exactly what lands in the inbox. Switch the preview between the Email and PDF tabs to check both, and use Attach PDF to include or leave off the PDF attachment.
Editing what your borrower reads
Every part of the email is yours to edit:
- Subject — starts as a clean, borrower-friendly line (Your loan analysis from your company) rather than your internal report name. Change it to whatever fits.
- Greeting and Signature — the opening and sign-off, edited separately from the body.
- Message — the note itself. Drop in a link to the report with Insert link, or embed a chart with Insert chart.
You're CC'd on every send, so you always keep a copy of exactly what went out.
Saving templates
Write an email once and reuse it. Click Save as template, give it a Template name, and it's saved to your account. Next time, pick it from the Template list at the top of the window (it defaults to — Start from scratch —) to fill in the subject and message in one click. Check Use by default to have a template pre-fill the window automatically, or Delete one you no longer need.
Templates save the wording, not the borrower — the greeting always resolves to whoever you're sending to, so a template can never carry a stale name.
Before you send
- Watch the preview. It's the real email; if a number in the attached report looks off, cancel and fix the worksheet first.
- Keep the link in. If you clear the message down to a truly blank note, remember to add the report link back with Insert link — a saved template keeps it for you.
- Send goes to the client's address — the one on their record, and the same one they'll use to open the online report.
