Interactive reports
Give purchase borrowers a private, tabbed web report they can explore on any device — a Max alternative to the PDF and the classic online report.
An interactive report is a personal, borrower-friendly web version of a purchase comparison, at a private link only your client can open. It's a third way to share a report — alongside the PDF and the classic online report — and it's built for a borrower to explore on their phone, not just read.
Interactive reports are a Max feature, and today they're available for purchase comparisons.
Switching to interactive mode
Open a purchase report in the report builder. In the top bar you'll see a toggle between Online report and Interactive report — flip it to Interactive report and the preview becomes a live view of exactly what your borrower will see. (On refinance and single-loan reports the interactive option shows as Soon.) LendrTech remembers which mode you prefer for next time.
While you're here, open the Recommendation & story section to pick the option you recommend and add a short note in your own words — that's what leads the borrower's report.
What your borrower sees
The link opens a clean, tabbed report:
- Summary — the option you recommend, your short note, and the headline numbers (purchase price, loan amount, rate, monthly payment, cash to close), with every option side by side.
- Charts — visual comparisons of monthly payment, cash to close, and savings over time.
- Fees & costs — the itemized closing costs and prepaids for each option, expandable for the borrower who wants the detail.
- What-if — a simple payment explorer with sliders for rate, loan amount, and term, so a borrower can feel how each one moves the monthly payment. It's clearly labelled an illustrative estimate — not a quote, an approval, or live pricing.
- Next steps — your closing recommendation, a short checklist, and one-tap buttons to call or email you.
The whole thing carries your branding — your photo, logo, name, and contact details — just like your other reports. See setting up your branding.
Sending the link
Save the report first; an interactive report serves the numbers as they were when you saved. Then, with the builder in Interactive report mode, Send emails your borrower the interactive link instead of the classic one. You can also drop the link into a message yourself with Insert link.
Your borrower opens the link, confirms the email address you have on file for them, and lands on the report — a later visit skips that step. That email check keeps the report private to your client: only the address on their record opens it.

Good to know
- It doesn't replace anything. You still get the same one-click PDF, and in Online report mode a send delivers the classic online link. The interactive report is an extra option, not a swap.
- It's purchase-only for now. Refinance and single-loan reports still send the classic link.
- It has its own layout. The interactive report is arranged for a borrower to explore and can't be rearranged — but it still honors your Include rows and Include charts choices in the builder, so unchecking a row or chart hides it here too, just as on your classic online report.
